Dear Parents:

I hope you are enjoying the summer break and getting some well-deserved time with your family. The month of June was spent preparing for the next school year. We have been busy adjusting our school calendar, ordering books, updating files, and preparing for August.

We are happy to have most of our dedicated staff returning. Please join me in welcoming the following new members to our school community: Mrs. Jacklyn Garlock – 4th – 8th Grade Resource Teacher; Mrs. Sarah Kolb-Junior High Math Teacher; Mrs. Marguerite Murphy-Receptionist.

The office will be closed during July and will reopen August 3rd. If you have a question during the month of July, please call and leave a message. We will return your call as soon as possible.

Please take note of the following:

• First day of school - K – 8th - August 17th – Noon Dismissal
• Last day of school – May 27, 2016
• The last day to make changes to the School Directory is August 21st
• After school care forms, health forms, milk forms and directory change requests are available on our webpage at www.ctheking.org. We will need a health form for each of your children who will be attending CKCS next school year. Forms may be dropped off at Book Drop, August 13th.
• NEW PARENTS- Please note the meeting on August 12th.
• Child Protection Trainingfor Parents – August 26th - 8:00am (morning session) or 6:00pm evening session.
• First School Mass - August 21st, students are required to wear their Dress Uniform.

Please note the August calendar, which lists some important dates and times. Please plan to attend the grade level parent meetings. This is important because the teachers will discuss curriculum, grading practices, rubrics, homework, class procedures, discipline, field trips, and answer any questions you may have. If you have children in multiple grades, please attend the meeting of your oldest child.
