January was a fun-filled month as we enjoyed the King’s Supper & Silent Auction.
Special thanks to Candace Broughton, King’s Supper Chairperson, and the entire committee. Everyone worked many hours to make this a special event for CTKCS.

National Catholic Schools Week is the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. It starts the last Sunday in January and runs all week, which in 2016 is January 31 - February 6. Schools typically observe National Catholic Schools Week with Masses, open house and other activities for students, families, parishioners and community members. Through these events, schools focus on the value Catholic education provides to young people and its contributions to our church, our communities and our nation.

• February 5 Alumni Reception – 8:45 a.m. – Assumption Hall

Mardi Gras Holidays
There will be no classes on February 8 and 9 due to the Mardi Gras holidays, we will not have Extended Day Care on these two days.

During the month of February we will begin our journey through Lent. May we take this opportunity to rededicate our lives to His love and service. To model His love for us, each home room will be praying for a student by name.

Registration 2016 – 2017
Registration for students returning to CTKCS will take place from February 1 – February 5. To secure a place for your child/children for next year, return the enclosed Tuition Agreement no later than February 5. If you need an extension on the time for payment, please call me.

Open Applications for students entering Kindergarten for next year will be accepted on February 16 and for Grades 1-8 on February 17. It will not be necessary for siblings to come on the “Open Applications” date.

Tuition Assistance
Providing your child with a Catholic Education is more of a sacrifice than it ever has been. Christ the King Catholic School uses the FACTS program to determine if a family qualifies for tuition assistance. This is an online application that must be completed before any assistance can be given. The assistance given to families comes from the school, with help from the Church, and will only cover tuition, not registration fees. Since we are a Catholic School, we do not receive any federal funds or grants to help with tuition. We have a limited amount of money that can be given to qualifying families. Please complete the online application found on our website or contact the school office.
