Dear Parents:
We would like to thank everyone who joined us at TKS 2019! We had a great evening with family and friends who came out to enjoy a fabulous supper and fellowship. With the support of our sponsors, local businesses and individuals who contributed to our auction, and you, this event raised over $33,000 this year, which directly supports special projects for our parish and school community. Save the date 9-17-20!
We would also like to thank Sara Johnson and Ann Hartwell for coordinating the Pumpkin Festival. Thank you to all the friends and parents that made the day wonderful. Thank you for all your hard work. Thank you also to those that participated in the dunking booth and Pie in the Face. It was an awesome family day.
We are approaching our fourth month of school and I find it difficult to believe that Thanksgiving is right around the corner. We have many activities planned during November so be sure to mark your calendar:
November 1 Boys to begin to wear long pants
November 1 All Saints Day School Mass
November 3 Daylight Saving Time ends
November 13 First Reconciliation for CTKCS and CCD Students
November 26 Thanksgiving School Mass – 8:00 a.m.
November 27-29 Thanksgiving Holidays – No classes
Academics
Thank you for the support you have given to the teachers and your children during the first quarter of this year. We are proud of student achievements and grateful to our teachers for leading them. We also appreciate your support by attending the conferences and helping in the classrooms.
Sacrament of Reconciliation
Second grade students will receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time on November 13. Please say a prayer for them upon this important celebration in their lives.
Grandparent’s Day – Pumpkin Festival
Thank you to the many people who made our Grandparent’s Day and Pumpkin Festival such a huge success. Thank you also to those that participated in the dunking booth and Pie in the Face. It was an awesome family day. A special thank you to Alyson Schott, Grandparent’s Day Chairperson; Tierney Moore, Grandparent’s Day Coordinator; Sara Johnson and Ann Hartwell, Pumpkin Festival Chairpersons; and all of the volunteers. Countless hours were worked to make these events special for everyone to enjoy!
Reminder
It’s time to put away the shorts for winter. Boys should no longer be wearing shorts to school beginning November 1, 2019.
Faculty Appreciation
Thank you to the 7th grade parents who provided the snacks for the faculty meeting this month.
Outreach
October – Food Pantry for Catholic Social Services and Box of Joy
November – Toys for Catholic Social Services
Contributing Rate
Please remember that the Church operates on a budget from December to December each year. This means that in order to receive the contributing rate, contributions must be made by December of this year.
End of Year Tax Deduction - Memorials
In lieu of flowers for your deceased relatives and friends, please consider making a donation to CTKCS. Donations should be sent to CTKCS with the name and address of your loved one’s family. A card will be sent to them. You will also receive a card acknowledging your gift. Your donation will be used to help pass on the Catholic faith from this generation to the next.
Morning Procedures
Please remember that students arriving before 7:30 a.m. should go to the gym for safety since teacher supervision does not begin until 7:30 a.m. Please also remember to let your student out when you stop. One car can hold up ten other cars if you do not follow this simple procedure. I thank you and all the parents behind you will also thank you.
Sincerely in Christ,
Maxwell J. Crain
