Coach Etheridge was awarded a $2638 grant from Infirmary Health as part of our family participation in the Spring Fever Chase this past March. Coach Ethridge will use the grant in her P.E. program, "Making them Move!", which will provide students the opportunity to engage in physical activity to increase their physical fitness and skill development. She will use a variety of equipment such as exercise balls, Fitness dice, exercise tubes, jump ropes, and resistance bands for station work to enable students to work at their own pace while increasing their fitness levels. The grant will also be used to purchase hula hoops, basketball balls, soccer balls, cones, bean bags, and equipment bags for storage. The equipment will be used to develop student gross motor skills in grades K-5. We congratulate Coach Etheridge, and thank everyone who participated in the Spring Fever Chase to receive this funding to further enhance our Physical Education program.
